If you find yourself in Montana and around the Flathead lake area, south of the lake you will find the National Bison Range, self drive, cost of $5. Best time to visit is first thing in the morning, less people on the road and the wildlife are more likely to be on the move, especially when the days are getting warmer. Take your time. Plus you will also get some great views of the area.
